RoundTable: Living After Loosing A Child
The loss of a child might be the worst trauma parents can experience. It is an unspeakable loss for so many. No parent is prepared for a child’s death as they are simply not supposed to outlive their children. Whether the child was lost in the womb or after birth or during childhood, the loss is suffered not only by the parents but sometimes the whole family. Parents feel responsible for the child’s well-being. So when they lose a child, they’re not just losing a person they loved. They’re also losing the years of promise they had looked forward to. Join us on the 19th of July at 8:30 pm Beirut time as we explore with Dr Pia Tohme, the phases of grief, the effect on our lives as parents and family, the challenges with parenting the siblings, and how to live with that trauma.
